DESCRIPTION:The Virginia Glee Club is excited to join the Georgia State Uni
 versity Tenor-Bass Choir for for a collaborative performance\, Tuesday\, M
 arch 5 at 2:30 PM in Kopleff Hall.\nDirected by Grammy Award winning condu
 ctor Frank Albinder\, the Virginia Glee Club is the oldest musical organiz
 ation at the University of Virginia and one of the oldest collegiate tenor
 -bass choirs in the nation\, founded in 1871. Members of club come from di
 fferent schools throughout the University and consider themselves a “fra
 ternity of talent”.\n\nEach year Club endeavors to take a tour to share 
 the music they have learned through the year. Last year\, Club embarked on
  an International tour to England and Wales and this year a domestic ‘To
 ur of the South’ including performances and collaborations in Johnson Ci
 ty\, Chattanooga\, Atlanta\, Jackson\, Birmingham\, Charlotte\, and Roanok
 e. Selections to be performed include pieces of both secular and sacred ch
 oral traditions highlighting the unique qualities of the tenor and bass vo
 ice.\n\nThe Virginia Glee Club is a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization and re
 ceives no direct funding from the University of Virginia. Club depends on 
 the generosity of our alumni\, parents and friends to continue spreading h
 armony\, love and brotherhood across the nation and the world.\n\nJoin our
