Dr. Ting-Ting Yen, Pianist
Dr. Ting-Ting Yen joined Virginia Glee Club in 2023 and has enjoyed a versatile musician’s career as both a pianist and a violinist. Ting-Ting is currently Music Director at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian church. Previously, she was Music Director at Warm Springs Presbyterian Church and faculty accompanist at Washington and Lee University. As a violinist Ting-Ting is a member of Roanoke Symphony and also performs periodically with Richmond Symphony, Charlottesville Symphony, New Century Chamber Orchestra, and at Garth Newel Music Center. Ting-Ting was formerly a member of the Winston-Salem Symphony and New Mexico Philharmonic.
Ting-Ting received her D.M.A. in Violin Performance, and a Master’s in Collaborative Piano at the University of Minnesota. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from Manhattan School of Music.
Sharon Nichols, General Manager
Sharon joined the Virginia Glee Club as General Manager in March, 2026. She brings with her a lifelong interest in music performance. She sang in her high school Acapella choir and was the first chair flute in her high school symphonic and marching bands. She began her college years as a Music Major at the University of Colorado/Boulder as a Flute Performance major. She then obtained an Associate's degree in Buying & Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. From there she went on to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from San Diego State University. Sharon always enjoys living in new locations rather than just visiting them in order to truly experience the people and cultures of the area. After graduating, Sharon had an extensive career encompassing retail, tourism and event management, and she always endeavors to create positive and encouraging work environments. Sharon is currently a flutist with the Orange County Community Band, and is a soprano with the Fluvanna Community Singers. Contact: manager@virginiagleeclub.org
